Your own platelets, concentrated and delivered into the scalp to support the follicles you still have — planned only after your pattern of hair loss has been properly assessed.
PRP — platelet-rich plasma — uses a small sample of your own blood, spun to separate and concentrate the platelets, which are then delivered into the thinning areas of the scalp.
Platelets carry growth factors, the signalling proteins your body already uses for repair. Concentrated and placed at follicular depth, they support follicles that have miniaturised but have not yet closed — which is why timing matters here more than intensity.
That also sets the honest limit of the treatment. PRP works with follicles that are still alive. Where a scalp has been smooth for years, no injection brings back what is no longer there, and you should be told that at assessment rather than after a course. At Dermatonik your pattern, how long it has been progressing, and any medical drivers behind it are reviewed before a course is planned.
A sample of your blood is taken and centrifuged so the platelet-rich fraction separates. Nothing synthetic is added — what goes back in came from you.
Platelets carry the growth factors involved in tissue repair and follicular signalling; concentrating them raises the dose delivered to the scalp.
The plasma is delivered across the affected areas at a controlled depth, so it reaches the follicle rather than sitting on the surface.
Assessed, planned and supervised in clinic — never sold from a menu.
Drawn, concentrated and returned to you within the same appointment.
Pattern, duration and medical drivers are reviewed before a course is planned.
Most appointments run under an hour, preparation included.
Mild scalp tenderness for a day, then straight back to your routine.
Sessions are spaced across the hair cycle and reviewed as your response becomes clear.
Can sit within a wider hair plan where your assessment supports it.
Hair regrowth — results shown are from Dermatonik's hair-regrowth protocols and may reflect a combination of treatments.
Photographs shared with patient consent. Individual results vary; your clinician will set honest expectations at consultation.
Dr. Saeema Shiraaz reviews your pattern of thinning, how long it has been progressing, and any medical or nutritional drivers behind it — because hair loss with an untreated cause responds poorly to any procedure.
What is appropriate, in what order, and what it will cost is set out before anything begins. You will be told plainly if something is not going to help you.
A small blood sample is drawn and spun in clinic. The concentrated plasma is then delivered across the thinning areas, with the scalp numbed beforehand for comfort.
Aftercare is explained before you leave, and we review how your skin has responded before deciding the next step.
Dr. Saeema Shiraaz — cosmetologist, and the reason patients stay. Every treatment plan at Dermatonik is built around her judgement, not a sales target.
Every protocol is planned and supervised by Dr. Saeema Shiraaz — no junior staff experimenting on your skin.
We recommend what works for your skin, not whatever's trending — and we'll say so if a treatment isn't right for you.
Honest timelines, real costs, and no pressure to buy packages you don't need.
Hair loss with an untreated cause behind it responds poorly to any procedure. We check for the cause before we sell you a course — and if bloodwork explains your shedding, that gets addressed first.

How we work
What patients usually ask before their first visit.
The scalp is numbed before the plasma is delivered, and most patients describe pressure rather than pain. Mild tenderness for a day afterwards is normal.
A typical course runs to several sessions spaced roughly four weeks apart, followed by maintenance at wider intervals. Your course is set at assessment and reviewed as your response shows, rather than promised upfront.
Reduced shedding is usually the first thing patients report, with density changes following over subsequent months as the hair cycle turns over. Hair biology sets that pace, not the treatment.
PRP supports existing follicles; it does not switch off the underlying tendency to thin. Maintenance sessions are how a result is held, and that is explained before you start.
The plasma is your own, which removes the risk of a reaction to a foreign substance. Your medical history, medication and any bleeding disorder are reviewed at consultation.
Active scalp infection, certain blood disorders, some medications, and advanced loss where follicles are no longer viable. Where PRP will not help you, we tell you.
Tell us a little about what you'd like to address. Dr. Saeema Shiraaz will review your message and the team will confirm a time that works for you.
